The mission of TiE Angels is to support top-tier emerging companies with early stage investment and support. TiE Global Angels North America, with about 10 chapters in the USA, is now well established with TiE Angels SV playing a leadership role along with other chapters.
Since its inception in 2010, TiE Angels Silicon Valley, with 125+ angel investors, has invested over $13.8Million USD in more than 75 start-ups. TiE Angels was launched as a signature program of TiE to support promising early stage companies with angel funding and introduce them to serial entrepreneurs, high tech executives, and other professional investors. TiE Angels and its 400+ active members leverage TiE’s global network of over 57 chapters around the world to help portfolio companies meet the challenges of scaling into successful enterprises. This has led to many successful investments by TiE Angels. Some of these companies have successful exits as well as follow-on funding (series A, B, C).

TiE Institute

TiE Institute programming is geared toward early-stage entrepreneurs who are looking for instructional, practical, and real-world learning as well as interactive sessions with fellow members of the TiE community. These can be entrepreneurs with a simple idea to those with a developed product who haven’t raised funding yet.
The goal of TiE Institute is to nurture these early-stage entrepreneurs to a point where they can participate in programs such as TiE Angels and receive that first round of funding to move their vision forward. Under these series of events, we work with our sponsors from law firms, venture capitalists, accounting firms, banks, etc. to incorporate sessions for entrepreneurs to get IPO ready.
